Fort Worth, Texas – Kenny Hill completed 18-of-23 passes for 209 yards with four touchdown passes as the Horned Frogs (1-0) racked up 542 yards of total offense at Amon G. Carter Stadium.

TCU led 35-0 by halftime and also received a pair of touchdown receptions from Desmond White.

Jackson State was limited to 24 yards rushing and 41 passing yards.

The Tigers reached the TCU 7-yard line on the game’s opening drive, but a fumbled snap led to a 28-yard loss and was followed up by a failed fake punt. The drive was highlighted by a pair of nifty catches. Brent Lyles connected with Jevon Floyd on a 37-yard completion to the TCU 16-yard line. Jordan Johnson then hauled in a juggling catch before being knocked out of bounds at the TCU 7.

Johnson had 13 carries for 41 yards to lead the Tigers in rushing and Floyd caught two passes for 33 yards. Defensively, the Tigers were led by Deion Pope who finished with seven tackles. Shawn Bishop, Andre Lloyd and Tyler Rogers each posted six tackles.

The Tigers (0-1) return to action Saturday, Sept. 9 when the take on Tennessee State (1-0) in the Southern Heritage Classic at the Liberty Bowl.
